I. Executive Summary for the Academic Year:

  • The Board of Appeals and Reviewed 27 petitions for the academic year with 7 approved and 20 denied. The BoAR also elected a new chair, Kim Altura.
  • Allowed for absentee voting when members were not available.
  • Reviewed and archived documentation on iLearn (both secure and convenient)
  • Reviewed any past petitions/documentation for each student to have a better history

                  C.  To the Senate:

  • Grade Forgiveness – In support of the APC looking at how SF State administers grade forgiveness.  Currently SF State does not follow current Chancellor’s Office policies concerning grade forgiveness.
  • Ask Senate to encourage a more robust attendance from the membership.

                  D.  To next year’s Committee:

  • Have representative from DPRC or Psychological Services come and address the BoAR regarding how accommodations should work or how to refer students to campus services.
