  • review and recommend to the Academic Senate regarding proposals from individual programs seeking impaction, including supplementary procedures for maintaining a diverse student body; and receive and review annual reports from impacted programs on their success in maintaining a diverse student body and on the need for the continuation of impaction;
  • collect and disseminate best practices developed by departments and programs to manage enrollments, whether through impaction or through other measures;
  • review and recommend to the Academic Senate regarding proposals to limit undergraduate applications from outside the historical service area of SFSU;
  • review and recommend to the Academic Senate regarding proposals to change the proportions among lower-division, upper-division, or graduate students, or among degree programs or professional programs; and
  • recommend to the Academic Senate regarding any changes in this policy or in related policies.
  • List any recommended changes to the Committee charge.

None

            B. Re: Committee Membership:

  • List any recommended changes to the Committee membership*.

The Enrollment Management Committee would benefit from faculty and student representation from more then two Colleges.

            C.  To the Senate:

  • Provide recommendations to the Senate on specific policy that could support the Committee’s work in the upcoming school year.

The Enrollment Management Committee would benefit from interface with the full Academic Senate; an annual report at an Academic Senate plenary meeting would provide information to, and from, participants for possible committee deliberation and action as needed.

            D.  To next year’s Committee:

  • Provide information not covered in the Executive Summary or the Action Items about the topics, themes, and action items that the current Committee believes will be relevant in the upcoming Academic Year.

The Enrollment Management Committee would benefit from interface with the Academic Senate’s Strategic Issues Committee in learning about how fiscal and legislative affairs might impact on enrollment management efforts (e.g. student recruitment, applications, admissions, enrollments, persistence, graduation, closing the achievement gap, etc.)
