UNIVERSITY CALENDAR DEADLINES

As part of the 2007-2008 schedule proposal as well as proposals for subsequent academic years, the Academic Policies Committee voted unanimously to support the following amendment to Senate policy #S83-111: University Calendar Deadlines:

Current Policy:

In response to repeated requests from faculty, at its meeting of February 23, 1993, the Academic Senate approved the following addendum to Policy #S74-R-9: Grading Policy Clarifications regarding changes to the grading deadlines:

RESOLVED That the Academic Senate recommend to the Vice President for Academic Affairs that beginning with the Spring 1994 semester, final grades for the Spring semesters be due seven calendar days after the last final exam date.

Approved change:

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate recommend to the Vice President of Academic Affairs that beginning with the Spring 2008 semester, final grades for the Spring semesters be due on the first workday of June or seven calendar days after the last exam date, whichever is later.
