I earned a BA degree in Philosophy from San Francisco State University in 2012.
Currently I am employed as AOC for the Department of Philosophy. The cumulative rewards are uncountable, but most notably, I am richly rewarded on a daily basis through my work assisting students as they advocate for themselves. I love and appreciate my job and community.
As a native Bay Arean with two children in attendance at local public schools, community service comes naturally to me. I’ve served as Secretary, then Chairman of the Board for a 501(c)3 education foundation in a small Bay Area community. During my three year term of service, I strategized and implemented the incorporation of three parent-teacher organizations with the education foundation, thus enabling the PTOs to benefit from the same type of non-profit benefits afforded the foundation. This enabled the PTOs to expand upon their fundraising goals in light of extreme budget cuts, with the happy side benefit of deeply uniting the three schools involved.
It would be my honor to serve the SFSU community by participating as the Staff Representative on the Academic Senate.
