RESOLUTION REGARDING THE SFSU ENROLLMENT CAP

At its meeting of May 14, 1991, the Academic Senate approved the attached resolution regarding the SFSU Enrollment Cap.

WHEREAS

The ad hoc Committee on Enrollment Growth (ENGRO) has completed its study of relevant reports and documents regarding enrollment growth; and

WHEREAS

ENGRO, in its final report to the Senate, has recommended that, given the state of budgetary constraints, any decision to increase the enrollment cap above 20,000 FTEs be deferred for at least the next two years; and

WHEREAS

ENGRO further recommends that the Academic Senate and the Committee for Academic Planning (CAP) participate in any further planning and discussion regarding the enrollment cap; therefore be it

RESOLVED

That any decision to increase the enrollment cap be deferred for at least the next two years; and be it further

RESOLVED

That the Executive Committee, in consultation with appropriate administrators and through its representatives on the Committee for Academic Planning, ensure Academic Senate involvement in any further discussions regarding the enrollment cap.
