RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING

PRINCIPLES REGARDING ACADEMIC REORGANIZATION

#RS92-104

At its meeting of May 12, 1992, the Academic Senate unanimously approved the following resolution establishing principles regarding academic reorganization:

WHEREAS

The Committee for Academic Planning is forming a task force to develop a process for the consideration of alternative organizational structures for the academic administration of San Francisco State University; and

WHEREAS

Academic organization ultimately impacts curricular, personnel, and other issues for which faculty have primary competence and responsibility; and

WHEREAS

Current discussions of reorganization have raised substantial concerns among members of the academic community; therefore be it

RESOLVED

That the Academic Senate establish the attached Principles regarding Academic Reorganization; and be it further

RESOLVED

That this Resolution and the attached Principles be forwarded to the Committee for Academic Planning.
