Commending and Honoring Dr. Asa Grant Hilliard And Reaffirming The Long-Standing Friendship Between San Francisco State University And William Vs Tubman H.S., Monrovia, Liberia

San Francisco State University has enjoyed a warm, decades-long friendship with William VS Tubman H.S., based on the mutual goals of providing quality educational opportunities to the students of Monrovia, Liberia; and
the alumni of William VS Tubman H.S. will be gathering during the second week of October, in Atlanta, Georgia, to honor the special contribution made by Dr. Asa Grant Hillard to the success of the students of Monrovia; and
Dr. Hillard served as a member of the San Francisco State Faculty for eighteen years, during which time he also served for two years as the first consultant representing San Francisco State to the Peace Corps as Superintendent of Schools in Monrovia, Liberia; therefore be it
that the Academic Senate of San Francisco State enthusiastically joins the alumni of William VS Tubman H.S. in honoring the exceptional contribution of Dr. Hillard; and let it further be
that on this occasion, the Academic Senate of San Francisco State takes the opportunity to reaffirm the special friendship between our two institutions of learning, and express our sincere wish and expectation that these ties remain strong; and let it further be
that the Academic Senate of San Francisco State offers its congratulations and support in solidarity with the students and alumni of William VS Tubman H.S. as they honor the contributions of the past and continue to pursue their worthy goals in the future.
