Resolution Establishing Principles Regarding Academic Reorganization
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
PRINCIPLES REGARDING ACADEMIC REORGANIZATION

At its meeting of May 12, 1992, the Academic Senate unanimously approved the following resolution establishing principles regarding academic reorganization:
WHEREAS |
The Committee for Academic Planning is forming a task force to develop a process for the consideration of alternative organizational structures for the academic administration of San Francisco State University; and |
WHEREAS |
Academic organization ultimately impacts curricular, personnel, and other issues for which faculty have primary competence and responsibility; and |
WHEREAS |
Current discussions of reorganization have raised substantial concerns among members of the academic community; therefore be it |
RESOLVED |
That the Academic Senate establish the attached Principles regarding Academic Reorganization; and be it further |
RESOLVED |
That this Resolution and the attached Principles be forwarded to the Committee for Academic Planning. |
