WHAT does I.R.C. do?
. The Institutional Review Committee will review all programs, including any department-generated statements that have been submitted. The IRC will be chaired by a faculty member. The Institutional Review Committee will be provided the fiscal target for reductions, the costs of each academic degree program and other data corresponding to the criteria listed in this policy for each degree program
- This committee is guided by Senate Policy on Program Sustainability, Continuance, and Discontinuance, #S25-177
- At the end of the Spring 2025 semester, the IRC issued a Final Report.
- The Provost's Council issued a report prioritizing those recommendations at the start of the Fall 2025 semester.
WHEN does I.R.C. meet?
The Institutional Review Committee is called on an ad hoc basis. The last time this committee was gathered it met weekly every Friday. Please contact the Senate Office at senate@sfsu.edu for more information.
