  • The first SF State Alcademics Wine Tasting will be held Tuesday, September 25th in the Vista Room, 5:30-7:30pm
  • Department of Aging an Adult Services and SF State's CHSS PACE Gerontology Program is co–sponsoring the Community Training and Silver Lining Lecture Series, on Friday, September 28 from 12-4pm in LIB 121. Keynote speaker will be Scott Wiener.
  • Rats on campus. Perhaps due to the construction. How do we mitigate or eradicate?
  • 40th anniversary celebration of the Estuary and Ocean Science Center in Tiburon on October 4th

  • Academic Master Plan groups are being formed. Nominate yourself or others. Get involved. Broad participation is an important part of the process

  • Focused on RTP policy. No significant changes recently in particular SETE

    • Sen. Dariotis – notes as a CEETL fellow, she will be working on the SETEs and how they work and their worth

  • Minimum wage – SF not the federal on campus
  • EP 1110 and the confusion among international and multi-lingual students
  • Grievance procedures – VERY old policy
  1. Strategic Issues Committee

  • Ongoing budget transparency – new CFO sits on committee

    • Follow-up on plans, procedures
    • Transparency on the college level
    • Non-instructional transparency
  • Trying to collect info on staff and employee experiences that contribute to turnover
  • Our ability to support international students and faculty and our position as a global university.
  • Sen. Sinha: need a social platform in addition to other resources. Helpful bridge such as “International House” at Cal

  • Enrollment is on target after 3+ years of being below target
  • We are up 382 FTE. We are down in FTF and Transfers numbers, but students are taking more units
  • Grad student enrollment is up 81 FTE
  • Fundraising – for 2018-2019 we are at 120% of the goal at this point. $18 million was the goal, but we are in the low $20mil range already
  • Construction – Tapia Triangle is leveled and in process for the new BECA and Dean’s Offices/classrooms, Demo on Holloway is scheduled for September 1st.
  • Science building reality is getting closer
